TORONTO AT NIGHT

I took this on my last night while working for RIMOWA in Canada. I’d really like to go back and visit one day. Everyone was really nice and chilled.

DAILY PHOTO – IN THIS TWILIGHT

I consider myself pretty good a Photoshop, but when it comes to the blog and HTML, I’m pretty far behind. So if you occasionally see something like this, you’ll know that I’m learning and testing different things.

I love using photoshop to extract the beauty out of the simplest things.

DAILY PHOTO – THE EDGE OF NEW YORK

June 7th, 2012, posted in 2012, Blog, HDR, New York

During the 3 days I got to spend in New York for the International Auto Show, I spent all my free time out in the city shooting. We bought tickets for sunset at the Top of the Rock. I think next time I’ll pay the “day” price and stay up there longer. It’s not like they clear the place out just for the “sunset” people. Every rail was about 3 people deep and it took quite a bit of waiting to get a good spot.

DAILY PHOTO – I WAS RIGHT NEXT TO YOU… BUT YOU DIDN’T NOTICE

June 4th, 2012, posted in 2012, HDR, Texas, Uncategorized

Have you ever been next to awesomeness and didn’t even know it? A few years ago I was really into R/C car racing. It’s a 2 man sport where one guy drives and the other guy “pits” and refuels the car. I usually went by myself and asked around for drivers not in my class to be my “pit guy”. Well, I was asking around one night and saw this dude that looked really cool… so I asked him. He said “sure, if he had time” (which he didn’t). But I found out later that he was this super stud racer with sponsorships and magazine deals (who went on to win the main race that night). I was so embarrassed for even asking. It was like asking Michael Jordan to inflate your basketball, or +Trey Ratcliff to carry your camera bag.
I’m sure we all have had brushes with greatness without realizing it. I’d love to hear your story. Let me hear from ya!

COMEDY

This is one of the last shots I took on last Saturday’s Dallas Photowalk. I usually get started around this time, but the walk began at 3:30, it was really hot, and the family and I were getting pretty spent. It was nice to get to hang out with some other photographers and get a little exercise. This is the first HDR that I’ve posted taken with my new D800. Upgrading is fun, but you soon realize that you have to upgrade other stuff too… like RAM.

THE GUCCI WINDOW NYC

May 16th, 2012, posted in 2012, HDR, New York

It was a whirlwind trip to NYC and I was trying to squeeze in as much street photography as possible. This was on our last day and I got up early to walk over and shoot the Apple store. On my way there I stopped to set up and shoot this Gucci store window.

DOWNTOWN DRIVE

Walking around Dallas with +James Brandon and +Scott Jarvie the other night was a ton of fun. I had never been to this sculpture in downtown before and it was quite impressive. There is a Dallas photowalk coming up on the 26th. It begins at the Dallas Farmers Market and goes all over the place, but I’m not sure what time. I’ll find out and let you guys know. Ya’ll can come out and take pictures with me and I’ll talk through a few setups if you’re interested. #Dallaspw

DEATH VALLEY SAVANNAH

Here’s one from my trip to Death Valley last fall. By the name I assumed it would be uninhabitable desert, but there was tons of wildlife and vegetation everywhere.

Here’s one from my trip to Death Valley with the G+ Guys in 2011. By the name I assumed it would be uninhabitable desert, but there was tons of wildlife and vegetation everywhere. That's not a texture in the background, it's a mountain. It kind of looks like crazy clouds.
